The Baby's Nursery

The big project this weekend was getting the baby's nursery set up. Now that the holidays are behind us, we finally were able to set aside some time to get the baby's room ready. My cousin Peter and his wife Chrizelle came over to help us paint. It was so great to have their help because lately I do not have as much energy as I used to! (Surprise, surprise)

My co-workers at Oracle all pitched in and bought us the most beautiful baby crib for the nursery. I absolutely love it! It was a totally unexpected and very generous gift. It was one of the nicest things that anyone has ever done for me and I was really touched. I'm so lucky that I get to work with such great people!!

We finally got the crib set up and we moved the changing table into the room. We got the walls mostly painted and we are going to be adding pinstripes this week. Israel's brother, Daniel, is going to help us install a chair rail this week and we still have to put up the curtains...so we're almost there. I think we should have it done before the baby's born. It will be nice to have everything ready. I will post some pictures of the nursery when it is all finished.

Well, my bag is STILL not packed for the hospital, so I'd better not go into labor tonight!

Your post looked lonely without any comments, so I will leave one. Be sure to keep us posted and let us know when Marilee is born (that's the name you chose, right? If not, it's a great suggestion...) DON'T name her Merrill! I hate men's names being usurped and used as women's names. Anyway, good luck on your impending journey and adventure with your newborn! We are all waiting to hear the results.

Your nursery looks really cute. I am impressed you got it done before you go into labor. I didn't get Max's room done till 3 weeks after he was born. Better get that bag packed!
